38” scale Plays like a 34”
This is not a “pretty” bass. It is however one of the most historical. Every great artist, carl Thompson himself as well as anyone who went into that shop played this bass. It plays amazing!! As I’m sure most of you know these instruments are becoming almost impossible to find anywhere. This one was Carl’s personal. The bass has been onstage woth les claypool. The bass was built on Halloween in 2000 then Carl made a few repairs to the bass and some modifications and it was given a new head plate. This bass started with a light wave system in it and everyone was unhappy with it so Carl took out that system and put in a standard passive system. This bass has been modified over and over again BY CARL no one else. It is the best playing and sounds amazing. I am in a very tight financial spot so I am having to sell this bass.
