One of the prettiest LB76s I've ever seen and a great player to boot. Body wings are quilt maple over ash?, fully contoured, strings through, five piece neck-through, beautiful ebony board with no markers. The neck is unglossed (looks like factory to me) and has a very thin finish, oil or maybe nitro. Feels wonderful. There's some subtle flame on the maple sections too.

The bass is near mint, maybe a couple of tiny dings but very clean overall. Weight is 9.5 lbs. Plays and sounds great, no issues. I've been on the fence for a long time about selling it; still unsure but for now it's available. Original hard case is a little scuffed but quite functional. Some of the pics are a little dark (sorry), actual color is closer to the top pic.

$800 shipped in conus.

Very pretty, is it an anniversary model? Is there room in the control cavity for a 2nd battery?

I don't think it's an Anniversary model. I'll check the cavity tonight.

So I checked under the hood. It's pretty crowded in there, you *might* be able to move things around a bit to squeeze another battery in, but then you'd mess up Carvins clean, solid layout. So as a practical matter, I'd say probably no.

Btw, poking around in this bass reminded me all over agian what a great build this is. Materials, workmanship, feel; it just reeks of quality. These are way under-priced for what you get.

You could do a 2nd battery box right next to the first...

I had a fretless version of this years ago and it was a nice bass.

It looks like an Anniversary model to me. If the body is 3 pieces, then it is. They don't make any other models with three pieces (layers). Nice bass.

Still here...dang. I toy with having a 6. I'd love a Roscoe but I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford it. I had a bass like this a while ago - lined fretless. It was pretty nice. I did change out the electronics though. Do we know the age? Which version of electronics it has? It's a nice looking bass for sure.

Serial number is 66xxx, pickups are J99 single coils, so that puts it 1999 - 2005; I'd guess closer to the earlier end of that range.

The pre-amp is 9v, three band. Passive bypass too, of course.

Tired of seeing me bump this fine playing, very reasonably priced, stunningly beautiful piece of American art and workmanship? Me too.

Let's save us both further aggravation. Please buy this bass. Don't delay; do it today!

 I'm CERTAIN I dropped the price on this to $700; did the board get reloaded from backup or something?

Anyway, if you liked it at $800, you'll love it at $700 :)
