This used Clevinger Concerto is a beautiful instrument with a fat, solid woody sound. The thick ebony fingerboard coupled with the composite RMC bridge and Thomastik Spirocore strings I find to be the ideal combination for this EUB, coming as close to emulating an acoustic instrument that a 'non-acoustic' can.

(Price $1,600 or nearest offer; includes shipping to USA/EU by EMS; 5 days delivery)
I visited Martin Clevinger in his workshop after he finished my Concerto, and was able to test the two pick-up options - the Clevinger Arco Virtuoso bridge - and the RMC (by Richard McClish). Being the proud owner of 4 other Clevinger models (one of which has an RMC bridge) I naturally gravitated towards the RMC, although I understand the Arco Virtuoso is equally popular.
Reason for selling; I do not travel as much as I used to, and have invested in 3 acoustic double basses which I leave in the 2 venues I play at - with the other for home practice - thus portability is no longer such as issue as it was before.
