I am intrigued by the Jatoba neck. I searched and discovered that it is quite dense and also called Brazilian Cherry. I love the grain!

The Jatoba has a perfect high energy feel. Zero dead spots on this bass. This bass will definitely move up to your #1 slot.

It weighs 9lbs. Tight grain in the Jatoba = zero dead spots. This bass will easily be a players #1 in the rotation.

A player asked, if I don’t like the Big Singles, what pu’s would fit. I can’t imagine a player not liking the huge sound of the Big Singles. But if they’re not your cup of tea, here are the Nordstrand pu’s that will be a perfect drop in fit:
Big Split 5
Fat Stack 5
BigRig 5 Dual Coil (a 3way switch can be added for series/SC/parallel)
Big Blade 5
Zen Blade 5
Jazz Bar 5
Dingstrand Nordwall 5

The Big Singles sound perfect though. The neck pu solo’d cops an excellent P Bass sound, but fuller, ballsier.

I have a set of Nordy Big Splits in my AB and a set of Big Singles in my Combustion. Both sound awesome and different from each other. I love playing them both. The stock DW pickups are very good, but the Nordies are my holy grail.

I gotta say I share the same opinion. They just make the bass sound way better imho.

For those interested, make an offer. The worst that could happen is I say no.
