This is a dangerously attractive bass, what’s the weight? Thanks!

PS - What new bass caught your eye?
i'll weigh it this weekend, but with the mahogony body these are built with, i'd be shocked if it wasn't in the 7.25-8.25 range, willing to bet it's under 8.

Let's just say i'm looking at a different version of something i already have ;)

Thanks! Did you replace or modify the nut to accommodate BEAD tuning? What gauge strings are you using for BEAD?

Yes I had the nut cut and the neck and bridge adjustments all done by the dealer to fit the .120 light gauge 5 string balanced set by Fodera, just use first 4 strings. But I’m including a new stock gauge nut in case you want to change back to standard gauge.

Updates with pictures. The plastic protective film is still on the pickups. Didn’t want anyone to think there’s something wrong with them. You can see the plastic starting to peel on one, the rest are still stuck tight. Left them on so they wouldn't get scratched.

Updated with trade bait… I’m interested in Spector Euro LX or Forte. Cash on my end if need be. Maybe Dimension’s. Prefer 4 string, will look at 5’s. Not interested in natural/amber/tobacco finishes. Thanks!

Price updated to move. Not accepting trades anymore. Found what I was looking for. Need to sell to replace funds. Bass is fantastic as you can see from the pictures!

Yeah I think it’s 36.25-34 if I remember correctly. The 5 strings stretch out to 37”. But the way the body and fanned frets are positioned you’d never actually reach farther if that makes sense. Very easy playing, fast neck, low action. All good. Pro setup for sure.

Thanks for the info. I have been AWOL and just learned of this model seeing your post. Trying to find some sound samples. Never played a passive Dingwall. If you have a prefered video that showcases the tone options it would be appreciated.

One of these, if not all in different ways should sell you on the idea. Many Dingwall NG and Z players over in the Dingwall club talk about playing their active basses passive a lot of the time. This D roc is louder and punchier than my NG2 and NG3. Just hotter output, punchier if that makes sense.

Bass is 6 months old, never left the house. Already setup in BEAD for all of us that don't play 5's but like to tune down. All the extra goodies. If you want to return it to standard tuning, I have a brand new nut included. If there's any pictures of something specific you'd like to see that I missed, send me a PM and I'd be happy to get those to you.

Hit me up!!

I posted a few videos giving good sound and tech information in various styles on music. Hope this helps.
