Early Heavy Metal (late 60s-70s)

I was born too late, so any stories you guys have to go along is definitely cool

some more UFO
And yes I like that bass tone

The first concert I ever went to was Black Sabbath in the early 80's.

God the energy in that building was nothing like I ever experienced.

Soon after my mom started dating a Metalhead (what a cool dude...god bless his soul) and I was hooked.

You know, I've been a Metalhead all my life and meet some of the best nicest people I've ever came across. I think sometimes they are a little misunderstood and get a bad rap for the way they look and the music they listen to....IMHO of course

Most of my friends are metal heads. Outwardly they look and act like normal people. Go figure

I know right?....you know what's weird, I go to metal shows almost every weekend, and I'm always a little humored at some of the older "Grandma and Grandpa" straight laced looking people there.

I was at a show a couple of weeks ago and this older lady brought cookies for everyone....i couldn't stop eating them :)

They were really good!

To keep this conversation going

You know there is some disagreement on bands like Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin and even Motörhead were metal, some say yes while others say no, even Lemmy said we are a "Rock and Roll" band. But I think KISS was definitely a huge influence on the metal scenc.....especially with songs like this
