Hello All - up for local sale only (Metro Detroit area) is my USA 2012 Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling 5H - black with maple neck/fretboard and chrome hardware. Weight is ~9.2 lbs. I purchased it used from GC about a year ago and played it regularly until I developed a Lakland obsession. Comes with a Music Man hardshell case which is in fair condition.

Bass is fully functional and plays well, and is in overall good condition. Price reflects local sale only as well as two other items which I'd want a buyer to check out/be comfortable with:
  • I had an issue with it intermittently cutting out toward the end of last year. I took it to my local music store and the tech there said he'd seen that issue in the past as a result of this style of battery boxes. Being a practical guy, he recommended disconnecting it and replacing with the snap type of connector - since I had gigs coming up and needed a resolution I went that route and have had no issues since then. The battery pretty much wedges into the opening left behind but for extra measure I snug it up with some foam as seen in the pic. Original battery box will be included.
  • There is a very subtle scratch in the back of the neck that I couldn't capture in a photo - every once in a while I can feel it but not enough to bother me.
Payment via Cash/Venmo/Zelle. I'd prefer cash over a trade but newer/lightweight PA gear may be an option. Please PM with questions/offers or if any additional pics would help. Thanks.

Any local folks want to throw out an offer via PM? Sorry, still not shipping - if there are no local takers I'll find a corner to hide it in.

I know there’d be plenty of people that’d snatch this up if you would ship. $1400-$1500 shipped, drop it off at FedEx and let them handle the rest. You sell the bass and make a little more than you’re asking.
