Rare find, EMG 40 CSx Jazz Bass pickup. This is one of the custom offerings from the Gould bass series. The core of the pickup is flipped, so the Jazz Bass coil is at the Top of the pickup housing. The regular EMG 35,40,45 series Jazz pickups have the coil at the bottom of the housing. In a bridge pickup setting, it places the J coil in a more accurate position. x Series pickups need to be connected to a preamp or the EMG Active Tone Control.
