This beauty has been living in my rehearsal studio for too long and deserves to be out there playing.
The good: This is a fine crafted-in-Japan instrument with many upgrades: a badass II bridge, basslines quarter pounder P neck pickup, a fender SCN noiseless J bridge pickup, hipshot tuners with a drop-d switch. It is in excellent functioning shape and set up for medium-ish action (an Ibanez this is not).
The bad: none
The ugly: Some might call this road worn. Some of the satin finish on the neck has worn through, there are cracks in the paint/blemishes. There is also a small crack in the headstock, but this is only cosmetic! Fred from Repair Zone did a thorough check, removed the tuners, pried and pulled on it, resealed with glue, and verified it does not affect functionality at all. After more than 10 years of ownership, I can corroborate his diagnosis. The backstory - bought used via Guitar Center & shipped from the east coast, sight unseen, circa 2010. Was dismayed to find the crack, immediately took it to my luthier to evaluate. He hypothesized that the previous owner messed up installing the drop-D tuner bushing, and Fred assured me the value of all the upgrades was worth keeping it, despite this barely noticeable blemish.
Comes with hard shell case & new pack of Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies. Give it a test drive at Phaser Control Studios in San Diego.
Cash is king. I'll consider trades for something like a moog/behringer poly D. Not interested in shipping at the moment, but might be open to meeting mid-way in the southern California region.
