Fender Classic 70s Precision bass neck. Fender official replacement part purchased new. It is the older 9.5” radius with a slightly thinner .80 (I believe but do your own research to verify) at the first fret as they used on the Classic Series 70s Precision bass. Fender vintage tuners and string retainer were also brand new. I only used it for experimentation at home and one church gig.
The nut was professionally filed and no fret leveling was required which is not often the case with MIM necks. Action was set slightly lower than Fender spec with 45-105 GHS Roundcore Boomers. At that setting there is 1/2 of a turn more in the truss rod before it appears to max out. Although I cannot speak from experience if you were to use high tension heavy gauge strings you might not achieve super low action. There are a couple of very small nicks which I have included in the photos.
Neck resonance is outstanding. Also the neck loaded with the vintage tuners weighs only .1 more than my P Bass Special neck with standard MIM tuners.

It shifted the unusually dark and compressed character of my P bass to a big, open, brighter and woody bass tone - what a good P bass should sound like. Well Ive grown fond of the odd and out of place character of my P bass so much that this neck had to come off. I’ve debated building a new P bass maybe with flats or even using it on a custom MM style build. For the moment I’m posting for a possible sale/trade until I make up my mind.
