Details

This is a 2012 Fender Custom Shop NOS ("new old-stock") Bass VI. I believe the color is "Ice Blue Metallic", but it might be "Lake Placid Blue". It is in like-new condition. I am the first owner. It has some extremely minor pick marks on the pick guard and pickups, much less than typical shop-wear on an instrument. It has been babied.
The instrument was set up with a Mastery Bridge on it, but I removed it, and re-installed the mute and the stock bridge to return the instrument to its stock configuration. The Mastery bridge is a drop-in part, requiring no permanent modifications, and is 100% reversible. The bass VI is now 100% stock again, but it could use a set-up with the stock bridge. If the winning bidder wants me to include the Mastery Bridge, I will include it for an additional $100.

"A unique Fender original returns.

Originally created to be a studio instrument that could handle the Nashville "tic/tac" sound, the Fender Bass VI has built a loyal following among guitarists looking for a baritone guitar with a look and feel similar to the popular Jaguar. Features include an alder body, small quarter sawn plain-grain C-shaped neck with a round laminated rosewood fingerboard, Jaguar pickups (middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity) and vintage nickel Jazzmaster/Jaguar bridge. Includes a case and certificate of authenticity."

This is the only version made in America since they were discontinued in the 1970's. The current Mexican, Indonesian and Japanese versions all have shortcomings. This is the real deal. Treat yourself.
