Player Series P Bass -- gloss black with maple fretboard. $675 ConUS-West or $700 ConUS-East. (Shipping has gotten pretty expensive lately!) This is a great bass in really good condition. It has a very tiny ding in the upper "tummy-cut" section of the body, but the rest of the bass is super-clean. The neck feels and sounds great.
I bought this bass because I woke up one day and decided I "needed" a simple, passive 4-string P Bass to just "grab and play," like the one I had when I was young. After I played it a few times, I realized that I'm hopelessly devoted to 5-string necks, and the extra position-shifting was more problematic than I thought it would be. Oh well ...
