For sale is a 67 Ampeg B15 that UPS beat up. It is being sold AS IS for repair. Before it was shipped it worked great and sounded fantastic, UPS ended that sadly.
The Bad
- The speaker magnet is de-attached from the speaker, so you will either need a new speaker or will need this one repaired (it's a vintage Celestion G15-100 alnico 15"), a popular replacement is the Eminence Beta 15a ($80 new)
- The fuse holder was damaged and needs repaired
- Parts of the cab (behind edge of head and head tray bottom) were damaged and either need to be glued/nailed/stapled back
- The wires connecting the speaker to the 4pin out on the side was severed, just need to be re-connected or a new wire put in
- The ampeg glowing logo fell off and just needs to be screwed back on (very simple)
The Good
- 67 Single Baffle cabinet
- Was working and sounding fantastic before shipping incident
- All original Tubes (NOS GE, RCA, etc)
- 30 watt model (instead of the earlier 25 watt)
- The most recorded bass amp of all time and studio legend and workhorse
Sold AS IS, it might need more repairs than listed here, but upon inspection that's all I could find.
