This is a pretty rare bass, #5 of 60 that were produced in 1998 for this special edition run. The bass is in great shape mechanically, but has been a player for the last 10 years and has a few battle scars that have been documented in my pictures of it.

This is an incredible bass, there's no other word for it. If you've played an Alembic, you know what I'm talking about. I'd rather not part with it, but times is hard and I've been favoring my far-less-expensive ebmm sterling lately so I've decided to let her go to someone that'll (hopefully) appreciate her.

I'm asking $1800. Shipping is extra, although I'd prefer a local pickup. All reasonable offers/trade offers considered. (i'm looking for a workhorse MIA P-bass)

the good:
Flamed Maple top with Mahogany body.
Gloss finish.
Ebony board with the Oval Pearl inlays.
Gorgeous purpleheart striping.
Pickups and electronics are all original and without peer.
Played a ton over the last 10 years...recording, gigs...it's got mojo coming out of its ears.

the bad:
buckle rash
finish worn just above the E from over-exuberant right-hand action
minor nicks and dings (see pix)

Comes with Schaller strap-locks and a Gator ATA-style case: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gator-GPE-Bass-ATA-Style-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Case?sku=544784&src=3SOSWXXA

right around the corner! i still go down there occasionally to get fresh ravioli from andrea's ;)

I remember us making a special trip from down the shore (where we lived at the time) one day because my father just had to have some kind of bread that he could only get from this one bakery back in the 'hood. Funny stuff. Gas was a whole lot cheaper then.:D

A nostalgia trip to the top...

I never knew the name of the place and Dad's passed on, so I'm afraid I can't help. Sorry.
But at least I can bump this baby...
