FS: Schecter Omen Extreme-5 five-string bass w/ molded case, $450.00, shipped. Photos below, that I took today.

I bought this bass brand new in very late September 2012. I’ve been the sole owner. The instrument is within 99.9% of the perfect factory fresh mint condition as when I bought it. At the time I had joined a band that required 5-string bass exclusively and although I already had one, I wanted a quick backup for gigs without spending a fortune. I bought this and was surprised at the quality and value. Very well made, gorgeous looks, great balance, great tone with cut and lots of lows. Compared to my Fender Jazz 5, this thing is a toy. It’s much lighter, the neck is not as wide, and its overall playability is much easier and comfortable. It’s less fatiguing sitting on your shoulder for 4+ hours. Although intended as a backup, it became my primary bass.

It was used for under 20 gigs (casinos, outdoor festivals, etc) and it has been stored in its case in a smoke-free, air-conditioned house. Rehearsals were also in air-conditioned, smoke-free environments. I am selling it now because I am no longer in that band and am playing more guitar than bass these days, so it’s just sitting abandoned. Really a shame for how nice it is!

New these instruments sell for $479.00, without a case, so I bought a Diamond Series molded case for $99.00. It has a few marks on the side but the photographs show it is in excellent condition, with an intact handle and working latches. I’ll offer the two together for $450.00, which includes shipping within CONUS. Also included in that price are Dunlop Straploks strap-buttons (already installed), a Dunlop strap (with installed Dunlop Straploks), and one pack of new Ernie Ball Roundwound Super Long Scale Slinky Bass 5 strings.
