Up for sale is a real case queen -- 1974 Rickenbacker with red side dots. All original. I just purchased a 1973 Jetglo with Checkerboard binding, so this one has to go. I'm not going to give it away, though -- if I can't get what I paid for it, I'm going to keep it. Serial Number is NF 4009. That and the red side dots put this one in mid-1974. I also took it to Haight-Ashbury guitars, who dated the pots to 1974. There are a few dings and scratches here and there -- but not many considering the age of this instrument. It sounds and plays awesome, and cuts through the mix like a Rick should.

$1750 on Paypal, shipping to Continental U.S. included.

I have an April '74 with red dots. 1974 was a good year for Ricks. Good luck with the sale!

Is it all original parts, electronics, etc? Do you have the bridge pickup cover? Can it handle low action without fret buzz? Sorry for all the questions. I really want a 4001, but it has to be original, and look and play great.

Hi Ron -- the pictures tell the condition. Everything is original. I do not have the bridge pickup cover, however. Otherwise, I believe it meets all your criteria. I have never seen an instrument from the 70s that looks this good!

Somebody should scoop this one quickly. :help: With the price of GAS, I can't afford another divorce. But it's a vintage Ric... She has to understand!
