Nice Peavey Cirrus 6... figured redwood top, alder body maple neck, pau ferro fingerboard. VFL pickups, Cirrus 3-band preamp.
This is not a collector's piece... there are a few dings and scratches here and there. The original knobs were worn down, so I replaced them with some old Sadowsky knobs I bought years ago for another project. I think it gives the bass more of a boutique look. Two of the 6 tuners are chrome, and the other 4 have most of the gold plating worn off. The previous owner also drilled small holes in the backs of the tuners, presumably to oil them... regardless, they all work very smoothly. Truss rod cover is missing, but I'm sure Peavey has them for cheap.
Despite the flaws, this is an incredible and incredibly beautiful bass! In fact, most of the flaws are hard to see from a foot or two away. The action is low, the neck is smooth, straight and fast, and it has that classic hi-fi Cirrus tone. The neck is nice and wide while also being comfortably flat, front to back. The strings that came with it when I bought it are still on... look to me like they are possibly Circle-K strings. Whatever they are, they sound great! This bass is awesome!
Asking SOLD! for $700 shipped, in the ConUS. Will come with a nice Rockbass gig bag. I strongly prefer a non-fee method of payment, but am willing to accept PayPal if need be. PM me with questions/ offers. Thanks!
