  1. Roscoe SKB-3005 fretless (lined) 5-string.
    • Highly figured Cocoblo top & back (unusual to see a Roscoe with a back "cap").
    • Spanish Cedar body core.
    • Maple/wenge/maple neck (not the usual maple/purple heart/maple, nor their "wedge" style option either).
    • 35" scale Diamondwood lined fretboard.
    • Standard Roscoe 18.5mm string spacing at the bridge.
    • Multi laminate stacked wood knobs that match the body (coco/cedar).
    • Nordstrand dual coil pickups with Nordstrand made Cocobolo covers and coil tap switch (both single or both dual).
    • Audere 4 band 18v pre (before Audere was a standard option) with 3 way "z-mode" impedance switch.
    • Two tone gold/black hardware.
Everything is factory original. Bass was completed in fall of 2006.
Excellent condition. Very versatile. Amazing bass.
Selling for a few reasons I don't mind going into if you care, but ultimately I am in no rush.

I am not opposed to trade offers but would prefer + significant cash.

I do not know how much the bass weighs. Its less than my Warwick for sure but if you're concerned about, there are probably lighter basses out there. :)

And to get it out in the open up front, yes I am new to TalkBass and have never sold anything on here before. What can I say other than everyone's gotta start somewhere? If you're interested in this bass but have concerns about my lack of feedback, message me and let's try and work that out.

That is a beauty dude. Good luck with the sale, if I could, I would have already.
  6. Thanks for the offer Cliff, but I'm not interested at this time.

In response to another PM, the string spacing is the standard Roscoe 18.5mm at the bridge.
  7. Wow. What a beauty!

Bump for a bass outside of my price range!

Hey, can you describe the tone a little of this bass? I have been told Roscoes can get a nice warm uprighty tone but also have the hifi capabilities for soloing, slap, chords, etc.
  11. Describe the sound? "Awesome". Although, when you start soloing and playing chords, its more of a "Totally Sweet" sound. But of course, you're welcome to substitute any other completely subjective adjectives to describe bass tone you wish (warm & smooth, tight & focused, etc.)... so long as they're positive because this is an amazing and versatile bass.
    = )
  12. Sold!
I will close the thread as soon as payment is received.
    Thanks TalkBass.
