I have recently decided to go "old school" with my setup (Fender P, ampeg rig, ect.) but unfortunately that requires funds that I do not have. Therefore, this beautiful work of art is now up for sale
. This is undoubtably the best 5 string I have ever played, and trust me when I say I've played quite a few. I will be willing to part with this bass for $1300 shipped to your door (CONUS only please).
There are a few things about this bass that are different from a normal Euro 5LX EX. First of all is the pre-amp. This bass is outfitted with the EMG BQC Active preamp (Vol, Pickup sweep, Highs, Lows, Mids, and Sweepable mid control), giving it amazing tonal capabilities. Secondly is that this bass was special ordered with an extra thick walnut slab in between the spalted maple top and the alder back (as seen in the pictures below). In addition, I have outfitted this bass with schaller straplocks.
There are 2 dents in the finish of the bass that were present when I received it. These in no way affect the playability of the bass, and are quite hard to notice unless you are looking for them.
As always, somewhat local sales are preferred, and I am willing to drive for a bit in order to make it easier for both parties.
As far as possible trades, I might be tempted to work out a deal if a MIA P or a Nash P were involved...
