This is a Yamaha RBX 800A with case. Purple finish, Ash body, double cutaway with black hardware. It's in good condition with a few dings in the finish. The rosewood neck is perfectly straight with almost no fret wear. 24 frets, 34" scale.
This has active electronics, a single coil at the bridge and a split single at the neck. This bass plays very well and sounds great.
This bass was the top of the Yamaha RBX line when they were produced. Ask someone who has played them and you'll get a very positive response. These models are often hard to find and are a great bang for the buck.
