Very nice, fully carved double bass by Wan Bernadel; this is a great sounding and playing bass for under 10k. This instrument has a full and warm sound, and currently has a great setup for both orchestral and solo classical. Comfortable 3/4, D neck, easy to play and responsive under the bow. Would be an ideal instrument for college auditions, or as a backup/solo instrument for a professional player.
A couple items potential buyers should be aware of: 1. there is a rib crack near the endpin (see pictures) which has been glued 2. the tuner threads don’t match great with the gears; they work, but can be problematic.
Comes with Kaplan strings, a Tuffbag, and a xeros bass wheel.
