GLWTS. I played one of these in a store (horrible green, but it kind of grew on me) that had a neck like a Louisville slugger. Guy in the store thought it wasn't typical. How's the neck on this one?

To me the neck is not big at all actually feels smaller than my 93 L2K neck.

Love my El Toro! Down to 4 G&L's 2-87 Interceptors, 1-93 L2K & 1-83 El Toro (had 7 G&L's at one time).

I have one of the prototypes and 84 blue El Toro. I also have an L200 fretless. I had a tobacco burst and a red El Toro. I would love to have a black one with a maple neck like yours. You're 3-bolt G&L fan like myself!!

Rare G&L indeed...production books show 418 left the factory, but actual number sold is 412...there is still one in Leo Fender's lab at the historic G&L factory. The pickups in these aren't 'a Jazz on steroids', these pickups are 'a Jazz that grabs you by the face' kind of aggressive...you want growl, this is like an angry 3 ton Siberian tiger at feeding time....plug one into an SVT/810 rig. You won't forget that experience...

Someone should Intercept this bass! I have a white-turned-creamy yellow '84 Interceptor among my 4 G&L's ('83 SB-1, '99 L-2000 & '06 SB-2) and it is seriously great.
