For sale G&L L2000 Spalted Maple w/ OHSC

Reluctantly, I am selling my G&L L2000 Spalted Maple bass. This bass sounds and plays so well! And it is absolutely gorgeous. I bought this back in January and, unfortunately, discovered there was damage to the tone knob after purchase which wasn't disclosed. On the up side, the damage (while completely obvious) was relatively easy to fix. So, I had the bass professionally set up, along with a new pair of DR SunBeams, and had the tone knob fixed by a local bass builder here in Texas. I'm including a photo of the tone knob so you can clearly see how it looks now.

As for the bass, it sounds unbelievable. As you probably know the L2000 is extremely versatile and I can coax a ton of tones out of this bass. It digs very deep and has a TON of sustain. Partially the G&L bridge I'm sure, but I'm certain the heavy swamp ash body and maple top helps as well. It really has a ton of sustain which I love. Also, the fingerboard on this bass is one of my absolute favorites. It's such a nice piece of Rosewood. Very smooth and silky. I just love the feel.

So why am I selling? Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the 1.5" nut width neck. It's just a bit too slim for my hands. And while I can definitely get used to it, a bass this nice needs to be someone's true love. It is ALMOST there for me, but not quite. So, it's time to pass it on to someone who likes the 1.5" nut width!

I am including a photo of the tone knob so you know how it now looks. There is a minor issue with the finish around the tone knob (couldn't be fixed) but it isn't noticeable unless you are really staring at the tone knob, under lights, from the top. Outside of this one issue, the finish is virtually perfect. I can't find any flaws or issues with it. This bass is virtually pristine!
