Details

Hey all,

I am parting out my old ‘92 Carvin Bunny Brunnell. Here is the list of what I have. Let me know what you want. If you want it all we can talk about that too. Shipping included. Only in the US please. PayPal Thanks!

1. Carvin pre-amp. 2 band, balance and volume. I cut the pickup wire in the middle leaving enough to put it back together but you won’t have to cook the board re-soldering. $75.00
2. Carvin J pickups. Original to the bass. They are the same size so don’t remember which was neck or bridge. Or maybe it doesn’t matter. Waxed in, dead quiet. All screws/springs. $75.00 the pair.

3. 5 string nut. 1.75”. I’ll throw it in for nothing if you buy something. If not, $8.00 mailed.

4. Hipshot A 5 string 18mm spacing I believe with these old eyes. Black finish. Brass-Heavy. Mint condition and has seen little use. $125.00

5. 5 Sperzel locking tuners. Again, little use fairly mint. 3 and 2. See large pic. Satin gold color. $85.00

6. 4 Gold dome knobs. Beautiful condition. $30.00

I have a project that I might consider the pickups for. I am in Canada though.

It was a neck thru lined fretless with a busted truss rod nut. I put a new truss rod in but the neck was so thin it really didn’t help it. So…. I cut the neck out, basically halving the body. When I get time, I’m going to rebuild it and put a fretted neck on it, then rethink the electronics.

Interesting. Did you consider adding a couple of carbon fiber rods inside the neck?

Anyway, I asked as I often look for rebuild projects.

If there was any way to get the steel ones out without destroying the neck. This was a cheap purchase years ago in reverb and a project in need for the last 2 years

If steel rods were epoxied in, I think they are pretty much there for good. I have routed out carbon fiber, but it is no fun.
