Here is a hidden gem that I just had to try out, a Jackson JPB-8 that was only produced for 1-2 years due to it bearing a resemblance to Marleaux basses. This thing is a light beast that will keep your back and ears pleased.
Active pickups with a 2 band preamp.
Weighs in the low 8lbs range.
Has plenty of dings that are hard to photograph, but nothing that will affect playability, it is how I received it minus new knobs that were much needed.
Rosewood fretboard.
