I cannot explain the fifth hole that you see pictured. I assume that was a mistake made during fabrication in Indonesia. It has no effect on function.
See also the sanding at the base of the neck. I briefly had this neck on another bass that I was selling. Whenever I swap necks, I like to lightly sand to eliminate any dust or particles. I went just a bit too far with the sandpaper, as you can see. There is no effect on function, but when you assemble this neck onto a bass body, you will see a bit of discoloration visible if you look closely, where I sanded above the line. Oops. Priced accordingly.
