Journey "Overhead" travel bass (gloss black, OB660) in near new condition. 27" scale
I bought this bass a year ago ahead of some road trips but only had a few opportunities to use it. It sounds great, feels like a professional instrument (which it is). It's loud enough to play along with acoustic guitars while camping. It's also electric, it has great tone and plays and sounds so much better than a Kala U bass! You can read about it on the Journey site

The sound compares well with my early Martin B1 (I sold the Martin before getting the Journey Overhead). The Journey bass is not as woody (obviously) but very articulate, easy to play and nearly as loud.

The Journey bass is ingeniously designed - super quick to assemble and disassemble and because it's carbon fiber, it doesn't really get far out of tune even when packed up for extended time. It's really comfortable to play - nicely thought out cutaways for playing up the neck and for body contour. (and yes, it's light - pack and bass together are a little over 8 lbs.)

The pack is really well designed too - fits in overhead luggage. It has really well thought out pockets that fit large tablets or music books, headphones, extra cables and has very comfortable backpack straps. You can even stuff a change of clothes in the instrument body for the ultra-light fly-to-festival gig.

Bass is strung with D'Addario Short scale Phosphor Bronze strings and comes with a partial pack of new, unused spares: A,D,G

$1000 plus shipping (Save $300 off of a new one!)

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
