One of a kind Lakland 494 fretless built during Lakland's glory years. To my knowledge, there weren't many fretless Laklands built to begin with. But to find one with a matching painted headstock, and painted oly white, is pretty rare. And honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a 494 [fretted or fretless] with a matching headstock. side dots between fret lines (Lakland ONLY put the dots at the position marker if it were an unlined fretless)
Bartolini preamp and pickups
There are a couple bumps that I've tried to capture. I can't find any more other than the two I pictured. Aside from a few bumps, the finish is in GREAT condition. Supposedly, the previous owner had the board professionally leveled a few years back. I have know way to prove this claim other than the fact the board is in excellent condition (plane wise) -AND- that while playing the bass, there doesn't seem to be any issues with the board. Please note, there are some small/minor blemishes on the board due to round wound use. These are strictly superficial and DO NOT affect the trueness of the board.
