so no mods needed, it fits right in the jazz bass control cavity? battery and all?

The person who sold it to me had it their Jazz bass. I have had it in mine with no modification needed, including battery. Some years back I had a John East J-Retro(Jazz bass) pre that slipped right into one Jazz bass, including battery, but my other Jazz bass needed the control cavity shaved slightly wider... Cavities do vary, but LusitHand claims they were designed to fit Jazz basses. All I can attest to is that it fit into mine with no modifications.
