I was in GC and one of the guys there brought out his fretless bass for me to try out. It was (...and still is...), a Warwick Corvette FNA Jazzman 5-string. He had it set up low and fast and it sounded awsome! It played like at dream, and the neck was just the right width. GAS! So. Can anyone give me some suggestions of some other basses comperable to the Warwick Corvette FNA Jazzman 5-string to check out so I can deflate the GAS a little and make an informed decision about getting one of these? I'm currently using a Warwick Fortress 1 fretless 4-string, and also have a Fender Jazz 5 string, so I'd like the neck about the width of the Fender. It'll be used in an 8-piece jazz group w/ female singer up front. I'd like it to sound good for jazz. Thoughts?-
