A music store owner passed away, and his son was cleaning out the shop. He found a box of unopened Ampeg A-2 Compressors which I then purchased the lot of. These don’t come up for sale very often, and I guarantee you never in this condition. I got 9 of them, all brand new in the box with paperwork. I’m keeping 2, so I’ve got 7 to sell. These things are sweet. These were built in Japan in the 80s, and they certainly fit the part. Their heavy duty metal casing is matte black with hot pink graphics. Word is they were made in the same factory that was building the desirable Ibanez tube screamer stuff of that era. I’m sure these were meant for guitar players, but I’ve been playing around with one on bass, and it’s doing a great job for sure. These are a super cool treat for someone who is really into rare/quirky Ampeg gear (like me), and also folks who love to try out various compressors (also like me).
Not looking to make a ton on these. I just want them to go to other Ampeg collectors and compressor adventurers. Looking to get $150 plus shipping to you. CONUS only please.
