Palantino VE 550 EUB
Read about it in the mega thread. Basically, one of the better bang-for-the-buck situations for an EUB. This one has most/all of the commonly suggested upgrades.
- upgraded bridge (new eminence adjustable bridge; will also include extra acrylic bridge)
- removed original electronics and installed upgraded piezo pickup under the bridge (original electronics are all included)
- End-pin was bent so I replace with finished wooden pin with rubber end.
- new strings (D’Addario Helicore Hybrid; medium)
I purchased it ~4 years ago as a way to practice upright technique before paying for a biggie. (It also fit nicely in my “bass” room). Now I’m ready to move on.
$400 (shipped CONUS)
will knock off $50 for local pickup.
