I've been looking for a B-Quad for almost 2 years when recently I found this one.
Truth to be told I played exclusively 4 strings for the past 20something years, so that B string is at the moment a very expensive thumbrest...
Also the 35" scale is a bit more challenging for me.
I am still interested in a trade (details to be discussed) for the 4 string version fretted or fretless (must have original piezo bridge and electronics).

I would prefer local sales/trades but I will ship to CONUS only (no international, no Canada). Local means my location and a ~2-3 hours driving distance. Which means: Lexington KY, Cincinnati OH, Columbus OH, and part of WV.

Conditions: Good.
I am very conservative in my ratings as I do not want to disappoint buyers.
I recently got it and fully serviced. I cleaned every single part.
This bass was the main instrument of the previous owner for the past 15 somethin years, in this respect it is in surprisingly good conditions.
There are some minor scratches, but no chips, the coating on the graphite has some minor bubbling, and some roughness on the fretboard edges.
Frets have been used, I would say we are halfway thru, a dressing/leveling would be beneficial.
I tried to capture the imperfections in the pictures.

Given the serial this should be a 1996 instrument.
Weight: 10 lbs. 8 oz
Scale: 35"
The original piezo bridge and electronics are both working.
Currently strung with new D'Addario ProSteel EPS220-5.

Original tuners have been replaced, at least once (you can see 2 different shapes, I have 4 extra ones and among them there might be some originals, they will be included).
One of the screws of the electronics compartment is broken inside, the two others are working fine.
The bass control pot has a very weak center detent.
The internal trimpot of the piezo gain for the D string spins past its natural stop, as long as you pay attention when you set it it works fine.

If you have never adjusted a Wilkinson TW bridge please read the manual before attempting any adjustment. Replacement parts are no longer available, and the bridge is very overengineered.
I had to replace all the intonation screws because previous owners did not take care of it, I will include the bent stripped ones.
This is the revised version of the bridge where the ball end claws have a post for the ball end, previous version was found to be weak in that spot. Two of the posts (B and G) came off (I will include them).

Please feel free to message me with questions.
Sold as is, all sales/trades are final.
Thank you.

This hits my fetishes for purple instruments and graphite necks. I hope whoever gets this is very happy with it!

As BB quad 5 owner myself and given the rarity of both the 4 and the 5, i think you'd be best served if this is opened to a sale to use the funds to find what you're looking for.

To recap: No, I am not selling until I find a 4.
Regarding the 4 on FB, it is not original: no bridge with piezo, no original electronics, no serial number, and no faceplate on the headstock, so it's not very appealing to me.
Thanks
