Hello there. This listing is for my Prat Original II six string bass that I've owned since 2016. It was my 5th Pratt and I guess it would be considered a simple build, but the tone and the feel of the neck stood out. It's so comfortable to play. It's really balanced. So I've held onto it even though I don't play 6's. It features a two piece black limba body with a five piece curly maple/wenge neck and ebony fingerboard with abalone fret markers. I love the feel of the ebony knobs. It has Hipshot hardware all around. The scale length is 34', and string spacing is 18mm on a flat radius fingerboard. It weighs in at just 8 pounds 14 ounces. It's really balanced and feels great.
The pickups are Nordstrand, with a Noll preamp, the TCM model with an added tone control. The knobs are Volume/Blend/Tone on the top row, then Treble/Stacked Mid Freq and Mid Boost & Cut/Bass. The tone knob is push/pull for active/passive.
This is a beautiful bass, I love the black limba, to me it's not simple. The curly maple on the neck is heavily flamed, and the abalone markers pop on the dark ebony. I purchased 3 new guitars over the holidays and a few of my choice basses are now on the block...
