Just had an unexpected and rather large plumbing bill so I need to move this bass!
Ordered in October of 2013, completed on March 21, 2014, PLEK’d by Roscoe on March 3 of this year. The body is three-piece mahogany and the neck is maple with a wenge fretboard and 19mm string spacing, which is not usually available on a Standard (I asked really nicely
) The action is currently set on the lower side of medium-low and the bass plays like butter.
The pickups are in the ‘JB’ position (neck pickup moved closer to the bridge) for more of a midrange emphasis. I replaced the stock Bartolini humbuckers with a set of Nordstrand NJ5F single-coils, which really opened up the sound. The installation was done by a pro and I’ll include the Barts if you want ‘em. The preamp is the Bartolini NTMB. The bass has a really aggressive and punchy sound and cuts through nicely.
The bass is 99% clean with the only flaw being a small scratch on the back of the neck, between the 3rd and 4th fret. I highlighted it in the last photo. I don’t know how it got there and you can barely feel it. It has never been an issue for me while playing.
The bass weighs 10.5 pounds. It will come securely packed in a Roscoe single gig bag.
Not interested in trades. I’ll drive a reasonable distance for an in-person sale if you’re in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina or Tennessee. Thanks for looking.
