I know--"rare opportunity" sounds cheesy, but this genuinely is a special guitar that's extremely difficult to find used, and in mint condition as well.
The 2017 Professional/Pro line of Fenders received rave reviews. I was intrigued by the idea of a new neck shape-- "Deep C", which is supposed to be sized in between the regular modern "C" and the vintage chunky "U". I held one in my hands at Guitar Center downtown and it felt the best of all the tele necks I've tried. Then I noticed the neck was a solid block of rosewood, and I swooned a little.
I found an open-box one on Musician's Friend (for less than the $1649 street price) and ordered it. It arrived shortly before Christmas, in perfect condition w/fancy case and case candy. It is the nicest electric guitar I've ever owned, and I *love* it, and would love to keep it. But here's the thing--I'm not that serious an electric guitar player, and I can't justify having this nice a guitar right now.
There's a window of time where I can return it to MF for a full refund, but before I do that I'm going to offer it for sale.
I can't find another used one listed on the internet at this time. There's a 2016 model (not as cool--different neck profile, different bridge and pickups) currently listed on Reverb for $1315 shipped. The last 2016 sold on Reverb for $1300.
I have no interest in trades--if I had more money I'd just keep this guitar. Price is pretty firm since I can always just return it.
Asking $1350 shipped in the CONUS
