Hi all,
$2300 is for both the amp and cab. I'm selling the amp and the cab together since having one or the other alone will do me no good. Sale includes all cables and slip covers for both amp and cab. Amp is in excellent condition. I am the second owner, I bought it from another TBer. The amp had torn tolex on the corner and a few light scratches on the bottom that were there when I bought it. I had the tolex repaired by a friend that builds amps. You can see it if you look for it, but it is hard to notice. I'll attach a close up picture of it. Otherwise, it is in excellent shape and works perfectly. I am the original owner of the cab and it is also in excellent shape. Everything works perfectly. This is the best sounding amp I've ever played and I've played a lot. You won't find a single negative review of this amp. I'm selling to help out my son who lost all his music gear in a basement flooding.
No trades and local sale only please. I'm located in Minneapolis.
I'm not willing to ship due to the large size and heavy weight. I am pricing these fairly low in order to entice someone to drive and pick these up.

Please PM me with questions if you have them. Thanks!

Absolutely gorgeous visually and tonally. If I wasn't in NY I'd be over there this weekend. Good luck with everything.

Thanks Spiritbass! Yeah its the best amp out there in my opinion, I never planned to sell it. I know I'll pick up another Reeves sometime down the road. Hoping that I can convince Bill at Reeves to build me something smaller for home/studio use. Gotta help family out first though.

I heard some rumor that he was going to build a 100 watt combo. It does not seem to have happened. Maybe not enough interest?

I would even be happy with a 50 watt combo. I think you are correct though, there probably isn't enough interest. I think higher end bass amps are probably a tough sell.

I've had a few people interested if I'm willing to ship but I'm still holding out for a local buyer. I'm willing to meet someone half way if the distance isn't too great. Let me know and we can chat. Thanks!

Still for sale. If anyone is wondering, I'd drive maybe 200/250 miles to meet someone halfway. Half of 798 is too far. I talked with Tim though and he is on a waiting list for another great amp.

Let me plant the seed for a 60w Alessandro Basset Hound when you're ready for that high end smaller tube amp. Wish I were close enough to move on your Reeves it's a great deal. Hopefully you'll sell it to someone close who might sell it back someday.....

Thanks for the recommendation Jeff. I will definitely have to check them out. I don't gig much anymore so I don't need such a big rig and the Alessandro seems the perfect size. I really do love the Reeves but I wouldn't mind something smaller to play in my living room. I can always turn down the Reeves, it sounds great at venue and bedroom volumes. It's a big rig though.
I have time to see what's out there. I'm not going to have cash for a new rig anytime soon. And the Reeves is the only rig I have at the moment. I have my Enabler to play though in the meantime, but it's not the same as a great rig. The Reeves is the sound in my head, it's the best. If I can find something as good in a smaller package though...

I'll have to see if I can find a Alessandro to try.

Hey Fuzz, not sure if this is TB sacrilege but MN Bass Masons have a FB page that might get the Reeves some attention.

Hey thanks Looper! I'll definitely check it out. I don't think it's sacrilege. It's just one TBer helping out another TBer. And I appreciate it. I'll always go through Talkbass first but after a while I might have to look into other avenues.

Hi all, I checked on the price to professional pack, insure and ship my amp and cab and it was just too much. Even splitting it is too much. Still waiting for someone that lives close to MN.

The quote I got from the UPS store was north of $600 to have the amp and cab professionally packed, insured and shipped to Florida. I know if I packed it myself, didn't ship as far and shopped around I could probably get it done for less. If I did change my mind and decided to ship I would want it professional packed and insured by the shipper. Even then, if something went wrong or something was damaged I'd be devastated. Local only for now. Road trip to the midwest anyone?
