Renaissance (Turner) RB5 Fretless 5 string bass

Discussion in 'For Sale: Bass Guitars' started by CBslappn5, Aug 7, 2013.

  1. For sale I have a used 2002 Renaissance Guitars RB-5 lined fretless 5 string bass guitar made by Rick Turner of Alembic fame. This is a unique acoustic sounding instrument utilizing only a piezo bridge pickup. It is stringed with Thomastic Acousticore strings tuned B-G which give it a singing classical guitar sound. Combined with the fretless fingerboard it has a fantastic fretless MWAH sound and is very expressive. I will aso include a new and unused Acousticore C string so it could be tuned E-C. It has a unique spruce top, figured walnut back with a highly figured birdseye maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard has minimal wear and the pictures show how great of a condition it is in for its age. It is 35" scale and has upgraded gold and brown pearl tuners. It also has the ebony front strap pin extender option as well which makes the bass sit perfectly on a strap. The bass includes a Profile soft case.

I am asking $1,100 including shipping to US and Canada.

That is a SMOKING deal on a beautiful bass. These go for ~$2500 new! If I didn't already have one, I'd be all over this like rosewood on maple!! This shouldn't take long to sell!

  3. Thanks Greg...I appreciate the support.

These are amazing basses. Coupled with the Thomastik Acousticore strings, it has unbelievable voicing. And the best part is how stinking easy it is to play. It's light, it's a really fast neck and it will get you lot's of ooh's and aahh's. Why are you selling this so cheap?
