This is a rare guitar amp no longer in production. Chances are, if you are looking for it, you already know the description and features. One of the major features is the ability to switch between amp voicing/styles from fender, marshall, and boutique. The amp is in excellent condition. Pics soon coming. Thought I'd give it a shot on TB since I've bought/sold a lot of great stuff here.
The Kingsnake's mischievous little brother! Same controls, preamp circuit and back panel features to the Kingsnake, but in a compact 110 combo switchable between 15 and 5 watts. Specially designed cabinet delivers low end and fullness beyond typical 110 combos. Low wattage and perfectly matched speaker allow compressed clean or raging power tube/speaker overdrive at moderate volume levels. This little monster is perfect for studio or small gigs when only real tube tone will satisfy!
FEATURES
Front panel: input jack, Schizo, gain, volume, treble, middle, bass, presence, reverb, on.
Back panel: fuse, 5/15 watt switch, effects send & return, 4, 8, 16 ohm speaker output jacks. Adjustable bias inside chassis (for qualified service technician use only).
3-Position Schizo Switch offers the following voicings:
- US - Transparent midrange with strong bass and treble for classic American clean and light overdrive.
- LO-FI - Softer treble and stronger midrange, for a bluesy grind reminiscent of vintage off-brand American amps.
- UK - Even more gain with a distinctly British upper-mid peak for classic blues-rock and hard-rock crunch.
Switchable Wattage: 5 or 15 watts, use with the master volume to adjust the amount of overdrive and volume to suit any size room.
Jensen NEO 10-100 Speaker: 10 inch speaker featuring a super-light, high efficiency neodymium magnet. 100 watt rating for clear clean tones, and vintage British style cone for smooth overdrive. And weighs about half as much a conventional speaker!
Electro-Harmonix Tubes: two 6V6 and four 12AX7.
Accutronics Reverb Tank: combined with tube-driven reverb circuit for lush reverb that goes from subtle to surf.
All-Tube Circuit: simple, pure 100% tube signal path and tube-driven reverb circuit. The result is a rich, touch sensitive tone that brings out the nuances of your playing as well as the true character of your guitar. Please note: we use a solid-state rectifier for improved clarity and consistency. However, the rectifier is not part of the signal path.
Low Weight/High Performance Transformers: 20% smaller and lighter than conventional transformers, our custom design is efficient, reliable and has a wide frequency response. Click here for more details.
DC Filaments: all 12AX7 tubes have hum eliminating DC filaments (instead of the more common hum producing AC). This is an important feature, considering the inconsistent hum levels of today's pre-amp tubes.
All-Plywood Cabinet: superior resonance, strength and light weight. Compact size for portability.
Durable Construction: chassis mounted/hand-wired jacks, switches and controls. Independent pre-amp, power amp and control circuit boards for reliability and easy service. Ceramic flame-proof power tube sockets and synthetic low-noise pre-amp tube sockets. Tube sockets mounted to circuit boards with mechanical locking tabs.
Retro Styling: black vinyl and brown checkerboard grill cloth with spun-aluminum knobs for a cool, vintage hi-fi look.
