Selling my Rickenbacker 4001 (made in 1973).
Serial number: ML 6535.
Stored in a smoke-free home studio.
The bass is all stock except for Hipshot Rickenbacker Replacement Bridge (bought separately for $300) which gives the bass more sustain.
Cosmetically the bass is in awesome condition for its age, only some wear over the bridge pickup and a couple of scratches on the bridge pickup. I put some black foam around the bridge pickup, which can be easily removed, but in my opinion with the black foam it looks better when the pickup cover is removed.
Original bridge, hard-shell case and pickup cover come with the bass.
No issues with electronics, rick-o-sound stereo output works fine as well. I also have the splitter box for connecting the bass into two amps.
The bass is set up by a professional luthier, so no fret buzz or dead notes (the frets are original).
The bass sounds great!
Here's a short video demo recorded on my iPhone
