Here is a wonderful 2006 Rickenbacker 4004L converted into a 5 string bass ... it is crazy light. The bridge is schaller and the string spacing at the bridge is 2 1/2". The pickups are Rickenbacker hb-1. The bass is a looker and a player ... it just feels right in my hands ...

I like 5, 8, 10, and 12 string basses
I put a new bridge pickup in this bass ... it is a 3001 pickup with an added cover. The 3001 pickup is 8.6k ohms. It is smaller than the hb-1 or high gain pickup so I added a cover to fit the hole.
