EDIT: I've just listed on Reverb, so I'm dropping the price slightly here.
Rob Allen MB-2 fretless bass. Alder body with quilted mahogany top. Birdseye maple neck with ebony fingerboard and bridge. 34" scale. Serial #495. Weighs 6 lbs. Excellent condition.
I acquired this bass new in 2005 from Bass NW in Seattle. I mostly played it at church and in my smoke-free home, so it has been babied.
If you're reading this you probably know all about Rob Allen basses; what amazingly well-crafted instruments they are, how many bassists use them to get close to an upright sound, etc.
One unique and useful feature on this particular bass is that Mr. Allen made me a matching 1/4" high thumbrest for it. This is really helpful to anchor on when playing near the bridge, but doesn't get in the way.
Comes with a faux-alligator G&G case that I purchased from Rob Allen.
$1,900.00 (including shipping in CONUS)
