Details

This is the first really nice bass I ever owned. s/n 3877. I picked it up personally from Keith at the factory in 1996. This bass was actually reviewed (maybe in BP mag, I can't recall) back then. It has, sadly, not received the play it deserves over the years, but as such, it has remained in remarkably near mint condition.

This would be now considered one of his "Custom Series" basses in "Roscoe Red"

I played it mostly with a big horn band in the 90s and then stored it away for many years. It came back out several years ago and went to a number of camps a Victor Wooten's place in Nashville. But, I began making my own basses in 2015, and I haven't played it much since.

The bass has a mahogany body and book matched flamed maple top. The bolt-on neck is standard rock maple and purple heart with Rosewood fretboard, double action truss rod and two graphite rods. This is one of Keith's early necks with the scarf joint and the headstock. It has never been broken, tampered with or given any indication of a problem.

It has the original ABM .669 bridge, Hipshot tuners, and a Graphtech nut.

The original Bart p'ups remain, however, the original Bart 3 band preamp has been replaced with an Aguilar OBP-3. Purchaser will get the original Bart pre in the deal, as well as the original (very good condition) semi hard case. It will come with a very old set of DR Pure Blues on it.

As a bonus (you may or may not care), the head has been personally signed by Victor Wooten, Anthony Wellington, Chuck Rainey, and Felix Pastorious.

$2200 CONUS.
