Here is a Sire 2nd Gen P7 5 string bass with an Ash body and Maple neck with Maple fretboard. This bass is in mint condition and IT ONLY WEIGHS 8.6 LBS! Those of you who've tried to find a lightweight Ash P7 know how rare that is. It comes with a brand new Sire gig bag (finally a good one) for $695 PP Friend & Family, Zelle, etc. plus shipping.
I'm the original owner, and I've babied this bass since I purchased it. I have made two modifications to it: I swapped out the bridge jazz bass pickup for a Seymour Duncan Apollo with radiused pole pieces. I did this to improve the string-to-string balance when soloing the bridge pickup (which I often do). Also, I changed the cheap-n-ugly plastic knobs for chrome steel knobs. The rest of the bass is stock.
Action is very low, with no fret buzz when played with a medium attack. I've auditioned lots of 5 string Fender J's and P's, and so far I prefer this bass to all of them. I'm selling it because I truly need to downsize my collection and, as good as this bass is, it's not getting the playing time that my other basses get (NYC Sadowsky, Mike Lulls, Ken Smith, etc.)
Let me know if you have any questions. Here are some pictures:
