I have a really good SKB SKB-44RW ATA Electric Bass Roller Case. Only used it once for a travel date by plane.
It is made for a 4 string but I took out the foam to fit my 5 string in a gig bag. Simply place you gig bag and it's done.

Check and see if it's worth your while to ship it to 14612 rcohester ,n.y. A friend has one of these and I like it a lot.It's great for just throwing in my jeep or truck and not having to worry about it.With any luck you cqn find someone close by to buy it.
