This is a rather unbelievably growly, sweet-toned fretless P bass body (ultra light alder from Warmoth, with a STATUS GRAPHITE bolt- on JAZZ NECK...one year old (everything is 1 yr old).
I have always called this bass The Deathstar. When you play it, you’ll understand. My god.
Micro- lined fretless; check out status graphite for any details.
It is , without a doubt my favorite fretless EVER. sustain, singing, playability, presence in the mix, beauty, comfort, it is the best.
WEIGHT: EXACTLY 8.0 Lbs, as weighed on a Fed Ex shipping scale. Very comfortable.
DELANO double Jazz pickup , 3 way toggle configurable any way you want, but it's currently SERIES- Bridge- Neck. You will notice there are two mini toggles: I removed the neck pickup because it was redundant; you could use either, but currently only the neck-side toggle is wired up. If removed, the bridge toggle is fine, and the tiny hole can be capped with plastic like on an amp.
You can see the pickup was bumped slightly toward the bridge. It hugely enhanced the midrange punch.
Hipshot B style 17mm spacing (fast!) spacing. Close and effortless but not crowded.
ZERO ISSUES: NO PROBLEMS WITH THE BASS IN ANY WAY.
