This is the original Sansamp Bass driver DI. It's an always-on OD/DI with four internal trim pots that adjust presence, level, drive and blend. These controls come into effect when the "active XLR" button is pushed in. Otherwise, you get a clean DI. So in a sense, the "active XLR" button is like an on/off switch for the gain and tone sculpting side of the pedal. It runs on battery ONLY. Comes in the original box as shown. This is an AMAZING sounding overdrive/DI that's hard to find these days. You can get a lot more gain from this than you do from the later versions of the BDDI, and a lot of volume. Unfortunately I don't use it as I'm not into batteries and the internal pots are not convenient to adjust.
