It has a ton of features, built in variable XO, stereo effects loop, balanced DI out with post and pre eq switch, pre outs for high pass which allows you to use the pair of internal amps for low pass and send high pass signals to external amp/s (for God knows what..) Built in 2 stage compressor for separate control of low and high freq, single switchable input for passive/active, mid pre shape which is very useful for foot switching slap solos are dramatic change in tone on the fly, 12 band EQ all the way down to 32HZ, pre amp gain and separate volume control, 12AX7 tube on the input with a control which allows either solid state, valve, or blend of the two for your input signal. (def does warm and round the tone when in valve state)
The list goes on and on.. TE has been my go-to amp for almost 25 years, I've owned this particular amp for approx 8 years and it's time to move onto something new. I want to experiment with a V4/GP12 preamp combo with approx 2K of solid state power on tap via external amps.. I'm a stickler for the headroom/dynamics afforded by excess power, looking to run riot with my a new setup..
