An early Tradition MTB-500 bass. Tradition brand instruments don't have the pedigree to compete with most of what's listed here on TalkBass, but they make up for it by providing exceptional sound, playability, and of course, bang (or bass) for the buck. This particular bass was built in January of 2001. The MTB-500 wasn't even in the Tradition catalog until 2002, so this is a unique piece. A couple of small indentations/dings and other than that it looks like it was hardly ever played. Weighs a little over 9lbs on my bathroom scale. I played one of these for a while at our church and always enjoyed shaking things up when the low B rumbled through the dual 18" Yamaha sub under the stage.
Original list price for this was somewhere around $900 in 2002 and went up quickly to $1200 over the next couple of years. I'll sell this one for only $350, with free insured shipping within the continental US. No case but will be packed very securely. PM me if you have any questions.
