Greetings TB members - I've had a project in my closet for several years now that I just don't have the time or patience to work on. I bought this used Uke bass some years ago, it came with steel flatwound strings that were too high tension for it and the top was showing some signs of sinking so I removed the strings. Never got around to replacing them with standard-type U bass strings. The top now looks fine. Bridge is just held in place by masking tape, nothing wrong with it, but without strings it just falls out.
Only other issue is a problem with the preamp - even without an input jack, the 9v battery drains when not in use. No problem if you pull the battery out each time. Perhaps someone with more electronics troubleshooting than me can fix it.
Anyway, I've goten so much from the TB community over the years that I've decided to put this out there for free - includes the bass, strap, and soft case. You pay shipping from me to you (probably less than $40, maybe less depending on your location).
It's a cool little bass but would rather see it in someone's hands to play it than taking up space in my closet.
